Can I use a class as a template to create new ones?

Yes, Administrators can use our ‘Copy an existing class’ tool on the ‘Create classes’ screen to create new classes using any class template. Just follow these steps:

1. From your Administrator dashboard select ‘+ Add classes’

2. Enter the class name, class start, and class end dates for the new class(es) that you wish to create

3. Select the classes where you want to apply the template

4. Click the ‘Copy an Existing Class’ option from the toolbar

5. Find the class that you want to copy using the class key or the class name and click 'Continue'

6. Select the elements that you want to copy into the new class(es)

• Teachers
• Course materials
• Assignments
• Locked content rules
• Class grade settings

Please note: You will need to select ‘Course materials’ to enable ‘Assignments’, ‘Locked content rules’, and ‘Class grade settings’.

7. Choose'Create # class(es)'

Note: Locked content rules for individual students cannot be copied into new classes.
