A shaded star means you've not yet achieved the target score. You can test your progress by repeating the activity later.

An outline star or medal indicates that you have submitted a writing or speaking activity, but your teacher has not yet marked it.

If you are a Primary or Secondary student, a bronze medal indicates completion of an activity.

A gold medal shows you've achieved a high score.

A shaded medal shows that you have not started this activity yet. Your score for this activity may be rewarded with a bronze or gold medal.
