These unique codes give teachers and learners access to course materials, classes, and school accounts.
Activation codes | Class keys | School keys |
They have 16 characters and include upper case letters and numbers.

They have 8 characters and include both lower and upper case letters and numbers.

They have 9 characters, upper case letters only and no numbers.

Activation codes
- They give access to digital course materials for teachers or learners
- Activation codes for teachers are printed on the inside front cover of your Teacher’s Book, or given to you by your local Cambridge sales representative
- If your students need assistance locating their code, they can read: Where do I find my activation code?
- They can only be redeemed on an account with a matching role (e.g. student's codes can only be redeemed on a student's account).

Class keys
- They allow learners to join a class
- Class keys are case sensitive
- They can be found on the class page under the class name, on the teacher or the administrator dashboards
- Give your class key to your students so they can join the class

School keys
- They allow teachers to join a school. If you want to join one, read: How do I join a school?
- School keys can be found at the top of the Administrator dashboard, under the school name
- Only Administrators and teachers can access school accounts. Do not give school keys to learners, or to anyone outside the school. This is to protect the confidential information held in your account.
