Versions
Cambridge One Desktop App can only be installed on desktop computers using Windows, MacOS and Linux (latest versions for Ubuntu and Debian distros).
App download
Once you activate an eBook or Cambridge One Presentation Plus product, you can download Cambridge One Desktop App so that you can access them offline. Click on the banner and go to the download page.
Alternatively, go to the menu in the top right corner of your dashboard and select ‘Cambridge One Desktop App’
This will take you to the download page.
Choose your operating system and click download.
You’ll now see Cambridge One Desktop App installation file in your download folder. Double click on the installation or launcher file to start it. For Windows and Mac, once installed the app icon will appear on your desktop.
Click on it to launch and log in.
For Linux (latest versions for Ubuntu and Debian distros), the Desktop App launcher is downloaded in a form of an AppImage (.appimage) file. This file won't have an execution permission by default. To convert it into an executable file in and launch the app, follow these steps:
Via Graphical User Interface (GUI)
- Locate the AppImage file in the machine
- Right click the icon and select 'Properties'
- Go to Permissions tab
- Check the checkbox for Execute to make the file executable
- Launch the app by double-clicking the file
New versions of Cambridge One Desktop App will update automatically when you are online, without you needing to do anything.
