Speaking Companion works best on modern computers and mobile devices.
Here is what you need to know:
Operating systems
- Speaking Companion is optimised for Windows and macOS
- The newest versions of these systems will work best
- On some older Windows 10 computers, the avatar animation may not appear. You can still continue the activity, but the animation will be missing.
Mobile devices
Android:
- Speaking Companion works, but some features will not be available. You may not be able to listen to your conversation after you finish.
iOS/iPadOS:
- Supported when using Safari.
Important: If a device or browser is not fully supported, Speaking Companion will show you a warning message during the audio/mic check, and you can choose to switch to a recommended browser.
