The table below shows the most important icons, their names, and the meaning of each icon:
| Target score | N/A | Each course has a target score. Stars (or medals, for Primary or Secondary) show how you have performed in an activity compared to the target score. |
| Average score | This is the average score (out of 100) for all the activities you have completed in the course. It takes the best score from each activity. | |
| Progress so far | This shows your average score divided by the number of scorable activities in the class, multiplied by the number you have completed. Click on the information icon to see your grade. Note that this data only appears in classes with your school’s custom grading scale. | |
| Activities completed | This is the number of activities completed out of the total number of activities in the course. Solid colour shows the proportion of activities completed above the target score. Stripes show the proportion of activities completed below the target score. | |
| Lock | This shows an activity that has been locked by a teacher. The activity will become available when assigned or at a time chosen by the teacher. | |
| Shaded star | This shows that you have not started this activity yet. Your score for this activity may be rewarded with a gold or striped. | |

| Assigned activity completed below target score | This indicates that you have completed this assigned activity below the target score. | |
