It’s a series of bands against which students are assessed (eg 71%-100% = A or Excellent; 40%-70% = B or Good, etc.). One of the bands must be set as the target score – the pass/fail threshold. Stars or medals in class data views are awarded based on students’ performance above or below the target score.
The Cambridge One grading scale is applied to classes when you create them. This has a variable target score reflecting the different learning materials used in the class.
Alternatively, you can create custom grading scales in line with your school’s assessment bands and target score and apply them to your classes instead.
